INTERNATIONAL ENTREPRENEURS DISCOVER VILLACH'S HIGH-TECH HUB

Over 20 entrepreneurs from seven countries visited Villach at the end of November to explore leading companies in the microelectronics and EBS industries and to network.

At the end of November 2024, Villach became the meeting point for 26 entrepreneurs from seven countries eager to experience the innovative strength of the microelectronics and electronic-based systems (EBS) sectors firsthand.

The diverse program provided participants with exclusive insights into leading companies in the region. The itinerary included visits to renowned firms such as Lam Research, Infineon Technologies, and Ortner Reinraumtechnik GmbH, as well as a tour of the High Tech Campus Villach at the tpv Technology Park Villach. These visits showcased not only the cutting-edge technological achievements of local businesses but also highlighted the importance of Austria’s electronics industry and the groundbreaking research conducted by Silicon Austria Labs.

A special highlight was the discussion on collaboration opportunities with the laboratories, which sparked significant interest among the visitors. A delegation from the Slovenian Chamber of Electronic Industries was also present, offering fascinating insights into developments in neighboring Slovenia.

The visit provided not only captivating glimpses into the region's innovative power but also served as a platform for cross-border exchange and networking. Villach and the tpv Technology Park Villach once again reinforced their reputation as dynamic centers for high-tech innovation and international collaboration.
