GET INVOLVED: CALL FOR PROJECT IDEAS FOR THE LONG NIGHT OF RESEARCH 2026

Preparations for the Long Night of Research 2026 are already underway. Exciting project ideas for exhibition stations can be submitted until November 10, 2025.
It’s that time again: preparations for Austria’s largest research event are in full swing. On April 24, 2026, the Long Night of Research (“Lange Nacht der Forschung” – LNF2026) will once again invite visitors to be amazed, discover, and take part.
As in 2024, the joint campus of the University of Klagenfurt and the Lakeside Park will once again become the center of research activities. The last edition attracted around 8,000 visitors who explored 70 interactive stations and enjoyed a diverse supporting program.
At the heart of the Long Night of Research are the stations hosted by participating institutions, companies, and research groups. They offer visitors direct interaction with researchers and provide unique insights into ongoing projects and scientific developments.
For companies and research institutions located in the tpv Technology Park Villach, the Long Night of Research offers an ideal platform to showcase their projects, engage with a broad audience, and strengthen collaboration between science, business, and society. Research teams and companies are invited to submit their project ideas by November 10, 2025. The LNF2026 organizing team is happy to assist with idea development or questions about implementation.
