INNOVATION HUB AT TPV: FALLING WALLS LAB SOUTH-WEST AUSTRIA 2026

At the end of May, the tpv Technology Park Villach will once again be a center for innovation in southern Austria! At the Falling Walls Lab South-West Austria 2026, emerging talents will pitch groundbreaking ideas and solutions for global challenges.
On May 28, 2026, the tpv Technology Park Villach will become the meeting point for innovation and entrepreneurship. The Falling Walls Lab South-West Austria, one of the most important platforms for early-career researchers, students, and innovators, will take place at the High Tech Campus Villach – the heart of the Technology Park.
The event is organized by the build! Gründungszentrum, the Carinthia Start-up Network, and AplusB Southwest, in cooperation with academic partners such as the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, TU Graz, and the University of Klagenfurt. Support from the High Tech Campus Villach and the City of Villach helps make the event a regional highlight.
FALLING WALLS LAB 2026 IN VILLACH
The Falling Walls Lab South-West Austria is a unique opportunity for participants from Austria and Slovenia to present their groundbreaking projects in just three minutes to a high-profile jury and a broad audience. We are looking for ideas that go beyond theory and have the potential to become start-ups, spin-offs, or impactful solutions – ideas that literally break down walls and drive change. The winner will not only receive a prize of 1,000 Euros but also a ticket to the international Falling Walls Lab Finale in November 2026 in Berlin. The second-placed idea will be awarded 750 Euros.
The event is part of Falling Walls Lab, an event format launched in Berlin in 2011 and now taking place in more than 50 countries worldwide. In 2025, more than 2,750 participants took part in 82 Falling Walls Lab events in around 60 countries.
