KINDERGARTEN IM TPV ERHÄLT GÜTESIEGEL „GESUNDE KÜCHE“

The kindergarten at tpv has been awarded the “Healthy Cuisine” quality seal, placing it among Carinthia’s pioneers in sustainable and healthy communal catering.
During a cheerful autumn celebration, the kindergarten at tpv Technology Park Villach received the prestigious “Healthy Cuisine” certification. Regional Minister of Health Beate Prettner presented the award to kindergarten director Birgit Moser and the dedicated kitchen team, Jasmin Brunner and Patrick Kaufmann. The kindergarten at tpv is Villach’s newest municipal childcare facility and the 63rd institution in Carinthia to receive this certification.
VILLACH LEADING THE WAY IN HEALTHY CATERING
Every day, around 180 freshly prepared meals are served at the kindergarten in the Technology Park. In total, Villach’s municipal facilities prepare approximately 1,400 meals daily in line with the “Healthy Cuisine” guidelines – amounting to more than 328,000 healthy meals each year.
The focus is on sustainability and quality: over 60 percent of the ingredients used come from organic farming. According to Prettner, this makes Villach a long-standing leader in Carinthia when it comes to promoting healthy and sustainable nutrition.
“Healthy and sustainable eating should be a given at every stage of life. With its strong commitment, the City of Villach demonstrates that ‘Healthy Cuisine’ is not just a quality label – it’s a lived responsibility.”

QUALITY WITH CERTIFICATION
Like all certified establishments that stand for regionality, freshness, balanced ingredients, and a high proportion of plant-based foods, the kindergarten at tpv will undergo annual audits to ensure that the high standards of healthy and fresh nutrition are continuously met.
With this certification, the Kindergarten at tpv joins a steadily growing community of now 63 certified establishments across Carinthia – ranging from kindergartens and schools to workplace canteens and nursing homes.
