Location & Arrival

tpv Transportation Connections

Villach is the 7th largest city in Austria, is located in the center of Carinthia, Austria’s most southern province, and is quite close to Italy and Slovenia. As an important historic transportation hub the region has long been easily accessible - whether by car, bus, train, or airplane.

The Technology Park Villach is situated east of Villach’s city center in the St. Magdalen neighborhood and is readily accessible by car, public transportation, or bicycle.

The Villach highway interchange is located only a few kilometers away from tpv and is one of the important traffic junctions in the heart of the Alps-Adriatic region. Three important European traffic routes - the A2 Süd Autobahn, the A10 Tauern Autobahn, and the A11 Karawanken Autobahn - come together here, only around five minutes by car from tpv.

From Villach’s main train station (Hauptbahnhof) you can catch direct trains to many European metropolises, such as Munich, Zurich, Rome, Belgrade, or Vienna. The nearest train station to tpv is only about a 10 minute walk, and only one stop away from the main train station.
Besides Airport Klagenfurt, which is the closest airport, there are no less than six other international airports within a radius of 240 kilometers from tpv. All of these airports are quickly accessible from Villach with public transportation options such as bus or train, or with their own shuttle services. In addition, many regional taxi companies offer flat rates for airport transfers. This means that there is a wide array of direct global connections within easy reach.
